Who?

Committee of 100 (C100), the Council for A Better Louisiana (CABL), and the Public Affairs Research Council (PAR) have been at the epicenter of these policy successes. For decades they have sought to improve government and the climate for commerce and jobs. These groups have performed the research, collected the data and assessed the recommendations made over many years.

These groups’ vision, expertise and effort has led to major policy landmarks that have served the state’s citizens well, including establishment of the community and technical college system, expanded access to quality pre-K, school accountability, replacement of the state’s outdated charity hospital system, enactment of tax reforms to improve Louisiana’s financial stability and competitiveness, and adoption of a comprehensive master plan for a sustainable coast.

Each one of these significant accomplishments was once considered a great idea that would never happen here in Louisiana. Each enacted policy is evidence – Louisiana knows how to do this.
