CABL and Louisiana Public Broadcasting will host two gubernatorial debates this election cycle for Louisiana’s gubernatorial race: one during the primary election and one during the run off election.

The First Debate during the primary election aired live on Thursday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. from the campus of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Debate moderators Beth Courtney, President of LPB, and Barry Erwin, President of CABL were joined by a panel of distinguished journalists. The debate was broadcast statewide on LPB and in New Orleans on WYES and WLAE. You can watch a reply here at LPB.

The Second Debate will be aired live on Wednesday, October 30 at 7:00 p.m. from LPB studios in Baton Rouge. It will feature the two run-off candidates: Governor John Bel Edwards and businessman Eddie Rispone.  Beth Courtney, President of LPB, and Barry Erwin, President of CABL will once again serve as debate moderators and will be joined by a panel of distinguished journalists. The debate was broadcast statewide on LPB and in New Orleans on WYES and WLAE. No studio audience.
