CABL’s 2019 Annual Meeting and Luncheon will take place on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center. The Keynote Speaker is Reed Hastings, Co-Founder, Chairman and CEO of Netflix.
Most people don’t know that Mr. Hastings also considers himself a disruptor in education and advocate of education reform. In 2016, he donated $100 million to children’s education with the goal of supporting charter schools and innovative learning strategies including significant philanthropic investments in Louisiana: “Too many children do not have access to amazing schools. Our aim is to partner with communities to significantly increase the number of students who have access to rich and holistic educational experiences.”
